Brilliant night is a design which was developed from my other scarf design,  “Cote d’ Azur” which was named after a place in which Matisse lived. Matisse was an influential artist who developed a paper-cut method but was not just famous for these but also many other paintings. In this design I have used pastels and created images through mark making and then developed the design by using paper cuts and collage to create depth and layers. Brilliant night has deep rich luxurious colours and interesting shapes. This also gives colour for the winter the design oozes luxury and sophistication and class.
